Jacki Gervais DNP, PMHNP, CARN-AP

Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Jacki Gervais DNP, PMHNP, CARN-AP, is a Certified Addiction and Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience working with individuals who have various psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. Jacki has a passion for people finding balance with their moods and behaviors, and she has expert knowledge on how the brain directs our eating behaviors. She loves finding effective medication strategies for people searching weight loss. In addition to her clinical expertise she is the owner of Synergy Weight Control Clinic, and she wants to ensure a positive experience for all of our clients. Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Lance grew up near Salem, Oregon, but completed his Master’s Degree in Nursing at the University of North Dakota. He worked in Houston, TX for a couple years as a RN Psychiatric Supervisor, before emerging into his nurse practitioner two years ago. He enjoys behavioral health research, and learning the neurological motives behind human behavior, including our eating behaviors. He has notable experience in medical weight loss prescribing, and takes great pride in finding effective weight loss medication for his patients. He enjoys skiing, playing guitar and watching movies (Marvel / DC).

Christine Kreins, RD, CD, CSOWM

Registered Dietician

Christine has worked in the field of nutrition for over 15 years. She earned a degree in health science and dietetics and completed her dietetic internship at the University of Nevada, Reno. Christine is a Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management and has also completed the Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management, Level 1 and 2. As a Registered Dietitian, Christine’s role is to be a resource that never judges her client and instead positively encourages their journey toward a healthier lifestyle. She is able to support people in making sustainable changes and achieve their health goals. Change is not easy, especially when working against years of habits, people are encouraged to tune into their true motivation for change, this can be used when times are tough. Not every client will have the same goals, Christine enjoying working with the individuals and tailoring a unique plan just for them.

Amanda Davis

Exercise Physiologist

Amanda is responsible for fitness intakes and fitness planning for patients at NWWC. Amanda earned her degree from the University of Montana in 2000. She started her professional fitness career in Bellingham, Washington, as the fitness director and group exercise coordinator for three Whatcom County YMCA’s. She has also served as the fitness director and group exercise coordinator for Columbia Athletic Clubs. She opened her own fitness business in 2007 and worked at a Wellness Center in the Mill Creek Towne Center. In 2013, Amanda started working with bariatric patients. She started with NWWC in October 2014. In June 2017, Amanda took on the role of clinic manager. Amanda is a trained instructor of Silver Sneakers I and II; Body Step and Body Pump; AFAA—group fitness; BTS—group power and group step; and YMCA—Prenatal; Mat Science I and II. She is also a personal trainer.

JoAnn Spiering, M.Ed., LAC, LADC

Licensed Therapist

JoAnn earned a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the North Dakota State University and is a licensed Substance Abuse Counselor in North Dakota and Minnesota. She has over 15 years of experience working with individuals and their families who are impacted by mental health and substance abuse. JoAnn currently provides substance use assessments and treatment services at Midwest Mental Health Clinic.
